The Quick Reset Prompt
Go from brutal workday straight into mom mode — without the mental whiplash. A 10-minute transition ritual that meets you at your actual energy level.
I call it The Switch. 🔄
Going from a brutal workday of "I need this" and "This isn't right" straight into a second shift of "I'm hungry" and "She took my toy." The mental whiplash is real.
Some days I tried to tough it out. The kids got the version of me that was still half in a Slack thread. So I built the Quick Reset Prompt — a 10-minute ritual that gives me what I actually need to transition, based on how depleted I actually am.
I'm not going to lie — slide 6 (the one for the fully depleted days) is where I ended up the most. And it made a real difference.
It Adjusts to Your Energy Level
The ritual the prompt gives you is different depending on how you're actually feeling. Tell it the truth — it's not judging you.
The Copy-Paste Prompt
Use this when you're in the car before pickup, in the bathroom taking a 2-minute break, or the moment work ends. Any AI works.
Copy-Paste Prompt
I'm about to transition from work mode into mom/parent mode and I need a 10-minute reset ritual. My current energy level is: [DEPLETED / LOW / MEDIUM] What happened today (optional — include if you want it tailored): [e.g., "Back-to-back meetings, a conflict with a coworker, skipped lunch"] Please give me: 🧘 A RESET RITUAL A 10-minute sequence I can do right now before I walk in the door or engage with my kids. Keep it realistic for my energy level — nothing that requires motivation I don't have right now. 🎯 ONE INTENTION One simple word or phrase to carry into the evening. Not a task. A feeling or way of being. (Example: "Soft." "Present." "Good enough.") 🛑 THE RELEASE Help me close a mental loop from today — write me a 2-3 sentence brain dump I can say out loud or type to get the workday out of my head. 💬 AN OPENING LINE Give me one simple thing to say when I first see my kids that sets a warm tone. Not fake cheerful. Just human and warm. Keep each section short. I have 10 minutes max.
